Have you seen ‘The Bucket Shot’ by @petermckinnon yet? If not, I would highly recommend to head over to YouTube and watch it. Brought me back to 2016 when @braedin and I first got hyped on the idea of a snowy Moraine Lake. We didn’t have any travel budget at the time and had to sleep in my van in -10 degrees a few nights to make it happen, but somehow the conditions lined up, we got the shot, and two days later the road closed not to reopen until 2017. at Moraine Lake

Getting our lake-skate on with @eddiebauer - once every few years the conditions line up perfectly. The lakes freeze on a still night, and manage to stay frozen for a considerable length of time before a major snowfall. In this case, the winds would pick up and blow all the snow off the ice clearing it for us. Gotta love these short but eventful winter days with good friends and quality gear. #EBContributor #LiveYourAdventure // filmed with @brookewillson @justindkauffman @timber_tails at Banff, Alberta

Very stoked on how much snow we got in the mountains yesterday. Absolutely dumped snow up high. I even did a 180 on the highway out of Squamish on the way home (not recommended). // Couple new things in the works! As it turns out, making new things sometimes takes longer than expected, especially when you’re sick, BUT I can’t wait to show the results of filming in Whistler yesterday with @craiggouweloos - after shooting photos of skiing in Fernie late last year I’ve been inspired to shoot more professional snow sports. It’s gonna be a long road getting my skill level up in this, but it’s never too late to start and I’m already getting a lot of stuff I’m stoked on. In the meantime, enjoy my photograph of everyone’s favourite backcountry outhouse slash storage shed 😂🤘🏻 at British Columbia

Exploring Kananaskis country with @eddiebauer at the beginning of the freeze. This was my second trip where I had a real opportunity to put the gear to the test and see for myself what 78 years of down-jacket patent innovation has perfected. As on our first trip in the early season, I was surprised at how warm I stayed when the weather turned for the worse - shortly after this photo was taken, the wind started to pick up reaching well over 50km/h at the end of the lake, but with the right jackets we were prepared for the conditions. #EBContributor #LiveYourAdventure at Kananaskis

Here’s what I do: step one - adopt a dog, hmm not quite right, step two - copy paste, ahhh much better. Fun shoot this morning kicking off 2019 with some puppies, because obviously @rufusandscooter at Vancouver, British Columbia

FINAL SEND OF 2018 Made the last minute decision to rip up to Chilliwack Lake this afternoon and bring a fitting resolution to the year. I’m so thankful so everything I got to do this past year and all the new people I got to meet. Been on way too many adventures with my bro and future employee (lol) @cole.lundberg and watched him jump into unreasonably cold water over and over again while not jumping in it myself 😂 Thank you so much to everyone who has been following my adventures this past year, and I sincerely wish every single one of you the best in your own adventures. ALSO, I recently bought some new camera gear: a Canon EOS R, Mavic Pro Platinum, and Ronin S so I can get into adventure film making, so hit me up if you downhill, heli ski, canoe camp, fly planes, ride snowmobiles off cliffs, or whatever else might be challenging to film. 2019 is gonna be unbelievable. Let’s go 🤤🤘🏻 at Chilliwack Lake

I’ve loved the snow my entire life - as far back as I can remember I’ve been looking out my living room window watching snow fall lit up by the street lights, probably about to change somebody’s commuting plans. I think that’s what I like about it though, it silences everything and is gentle, but still makes you stay home from your boring job if there’s more than a couple inches. I remember working a normal job back a few years before getting into photography; having my employees call in “stuck” and tell me they can’t make it out of their driveways. Bro, I know for a fact there’s one inch of snow on your street. But I wouldn’t say it. Have your snow day man, who am I to stop you honestly. at Oregon

Never expected images from my first skiing shoot to go to print, but it’s happening. This photo of @dylansiggers was taken 2 weeks ago up at Fernie - and in 2 more days from now will be released on the cover of @ferniefix magazine. I grew up skiing and have skied every winter since I was 3 years old, and I’ve spent almost every day since 2015 taking photos but for some unknown reason never combined the two. Really glad to have stepped out of the usual routine and tried it, because honestly it was some of the most fun I’ve had with a camera in my whole career doing this. at Fernie Alpine Resort

Wind so hard it could blow you over if you let it. Wouldn’t have it any other way though. I love these kind of days in the mountains. @eddiebauer #ebcontributor #liveyouradventure at EEOR

The hunt for my next camera is still going! If you have a 5D Mark 4 for sale or know anyone how does, let me know today. I found a brand new one for $3,200 but would go $2,500 used local to Vancouver. If I don’t make a deal on a used one by the end of day, I will be buying the new one. So lmk ASAP! // also I hope everyone has been having a great Christmas so far :) // also part 2, @rachelbarkman when can we hang out with @zivahthesamoyed again 🙈🙏🏻 // EDIT 2:15PM Dec 26, 2018: Just secured a camera purchase at a Vancouver based camera store! Thanks for the recommendation @emmett_sparling at Vancouver, British Columbia

It’s honestly a wild thought that there are whole other worlds right beneath the surface of the water. Things we haven’t seen or explored and maybe never will. As they say, we know more about space than we do about the oceans. I would tend to think the same probably goes for lakes. Anyways, these are the things I think about when I hike. Taken a few weeks back on one of my favourite local hikes right before the freeze, concealing the underwater world for at least the following 6 months. Out here with @eddiebauer #liveyouradventure #ebcontributor at Middle Joffre Lake

Currently hanging out in the city with @jonsaldanha hiding out from the elements listening to 50 km/h winds and rain hammer the windows. This is when winter in BC gets challenging. So here’s a flashback to summer in Montana 🙈 pictured is @karl_shakur embracing the cold water, very unlike I am now at Montana
